WANDERING SARLAT

Sunday, June 28, 2026 — Until 4:00 PM

Sarlat-la-Canéda

We personally arrive in Bordeaux on Friday and will be spending Saturday preparing for the main events — mostly buying wine, let's be honest! On Sunday we check in to the château at 5pm but before that we'll be taking in Sarlat and getting a feel for the town. If you're in Dordogne at this point, feel free to join us to explore the medieval streets and local markets as we spend the day wandering.

Please do give us a heads-up if you will be stopping by. We may consider a patio reservation somewhere for a late lunch.

REHEARSAL

Château La Carrière & Sarlat

Please meet us at the château for a rehearsal, afterwards we will head into town for dinner.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

The Welcome Party is Creative Cocktail attire (bright colours), inspo here. The Wedding is French Garden Formal (floor-length dresses), inspo here. Gentleman, while the wedding is not "Black Tie" or "Black Tie Optional", if you have a tux you are most welcome to wear it! On the Wedding Day, the bridesmaids will be wearing french blue dresses. Dordogne in July gets up to about 27°C — dark-coloured linens are okay.

CAN I BRING MY KIDS?

While we adore your kids, we are asking to keep the Wedding Day adults-only so everyone can relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand and can arrange childcare for the day if you do plan to bring your little one.

DID THE SCHEDULE CHANGE?

Yes! You're not crazy. We didn't initially realize we could only host 2 events at the château and that check-in on the 28th was at 5pm (making a welcome party that day rather rushed). Along with the short-notice wedding we apologize for the changes to the schedule, we hope this hasn't disrupted your plans.

WHAT IS THE PARKING SITUATION?

There is very limited parking at the château. Please plan to arrive by taxi for the events.

IS THERE A GIFT REGISTRY?

We've asked you to come to a remote region in France and YOU SAID YES! We couldn't imagine a greater gift. If you are feeling keen — and that's beyond generous of you — we would greatly appreciate a honeymoon contribution.
